My main expertise is in the field of numerical characterization of the electromagnetic properties of HTS and the novel applications of HTS:
- AC losses simulation of HTS
During my PhD, I studied the theory of frequency dependence of HTS ac losses through numerical simulation considering all the layers of HTS coated conductors and the applied frequency up to 15 kHz. Related to this work, I was awarded the 2018 ASC Best Student Paper in Seattle.
- Numerical model development for HTS flux pumps and magnets
Transformer‐rectifier type of HTS flux pump; lumped circuit model; thermal‐electromagnetic models of metal‐insulation coils; dynamic charging & AC losses of flux pump charging.
- Novel applications of HTS
Wireless power transfer; magnetic cloak; magnetic field transfer.
